"PhytoEngineering" R&D Centre is the legal successor of New Potatoes Company which was formed in 2003.

In 2003-2006 the company together with the Bioengineering Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and DokaGene the group of companies carried out a complex of research works on the base of Megaproject "Development of Biotechnologies and Industrial Development of Production of a Seed Material of High Reproductions of Genetically Modified Agricultural Plants".

In 2007 with methodological support of the Central Science Laboratory, UK, a modern laboratory of potato virus diagnostics was established and equipped in the company. Having received accreditation in the state bodies of the Russian Federation, the company renders services in virus diagnostics to the interested entities of agro-industrial complex of the country.

In 2011 the company started carrying out research works on studying bacterial diseases of potato and other crops in an initiative order, that formed a basis for rebranding of the company.

In 2011 the scientific cooperation on production of bacteriophages and their practical use for handling of agricultural products with the Scottish company Advanced Pest Solutions began.

In 2012 with methodological support of FERA, UK, the project of creation of a modern laboratory of phytopathogen diagnostics was successfully carried.
